My AME called the office in Oklahoma in January to see what the hold up was and they requested an evaluation from my sleep apnea doctor. I sent the evaluation which met FAA standards on Jan 23 and waited. I received a letter from the FAA on Feb 11 asking for more information on my sleep apnea. My AME called them on Feb 16 and the FAA said they regretted sending that letter because my medical info was sitting in someone's inbox and they didn't know it until after the letter was sent and it is awaiting review by a physician. I called on Feb 26 and they said it was way on the bottom of the stack and they are understaffed and I can expect an answer by the end of March. Frustrated needless to say. less
